Camel Trekking Desert Morocco

Camel Trekking, This desert trip begins in the evening. We will organise the camel ride for the night in the desert from your hotel near the sand dunes. Camels will be packed with foods, blankets and everything important which we will need for our trip. This trek into the desert will take 1.30hrs.

We will spend the night in an equipped camp with drum music in the middle of the Moroccan Sahara. This will be great opportunity to take lovely pictures of the sunset and sunrise in desert, when we arrive at the camp we walk to the high dunes to watch the sunset. It will be a magical night when the sky is clear and we can watch stars. During this night, there will be dinner around a campfire and we will spend the night in nomad tents.

In the morning we will ride the camels backing to Merzouga; you’ll have the breakfast and shower in the hotel in Merzouga.

2 Night Camel Trekking Desert Merzouga

This trip will begin in evening, and we organise the camel ride for the night in desert from a hotel near the sand dunes. Our camels will be packed with foods, blankets and everything important for our trip. The trek will start right into the desert and will take 1.30 hrs.

We will spend the night in an equipped camp with drums music in the middle of the Sahara. This is a great opportunity to take perfect pictures of the sunset and sunrise, when we arrive at the camp we walk to the high dunes to see the sunset. It will be great night when the sky is clear and stars sparkle and shine with intensity. During this first night, there we will have dinner around a campfire, and we will spend the night in nomad tents.

The next day in the morning after the breakfast in the camp, we will ride the camels to visit and lunch with nomad peoples. After relaxing we will ride the camels back to the camp, when we reach the camp, we leave the camels and we will take the sand boards and we walk to the high dunes, and we will visit an oasis in the dunes and we walk back to the camp after the sunset. The next day in the morning we will ride the camels back to Merzouga after the sunrise, and you’ll have the breakfast and shower in the hotel in Merzouga.

3 Night Camel Trekking Desert Merzouga

This trip begins after a relaxed lunch (depending on when you arrive). Our camels will be packed with food, blankets and all necessary things we need for our trip. This trek will start right into the desert. The route we take will lead us to a small oasis right in the middle of the dunes. This is where we will spend the night under starts in nomad tent.
It will be really magical night when the sky is clear and covered by stars and they shine with intensity. During the first night we will have a wonderful dinner around a campfire.

In the morning, after breakfast we will head around 2 hours to reach our next destination. We stop for lunch next to a desert tree ‘Tamarisk’ for about 1.5 hrs. In the shadow of this tree, we will have tasty desert lunch and then we head towards the home of a Nomadic family with whom you will spend your second night and share some time with this Nomad family. The next day after our breakfast with the Berbers we will head towards another small oasis in the middle of the desert.

Before reaching the camp we will stop on the way for desert lunch. Your last (third) night will be spent with a Berber nomad family living in this oasis. During dinner we will have a fantastic drum music party under stars in the desert. Then after breakfast we travel back to the village of Merzouga or to your riad/hotel/auberge.

Each day will involve between 90 minutes to 2 hours of riding a camel or walking along side one.
