our 4 Days from Marrakech Sahara Desert tour starts in the morning, pick up from your hotel or riad in Marrakech. With your driver, you will go to South Morocco. Passing first by Tizi n Tichka port. This high pass is 2260m high, which is manic traffic that gives a panoramic view of the landscape and Berber villages, still one of Morocco’s charms. Then, we will head to the largest Kasbah in Morocco. In the first place, it’s the main attraction to the producers of the movie to shoot their movies, and where many famous movies were shot including.
The Mummy, Gladiator…Furthermore, this fortified castle represents the oriental heritage, due to its adobe dwellings. Since the place is a relaxing one, we will take a break and have lunch. Next, we will drive to Ouarzazate, the Moroccan Hollywood, for an opportunity to discover the UNESCO world heritage site called Taourirt kasbah.
Then, we will visit the superb rose valley, where you will indulge your smell senses, you can also purchase the natural rose water bottles for their spectacular health cure. Passing by Skoura, where you will meditate 700.000 palm trees and numerous mudbrick kasbahs built in the surrounding areas. Finally, we will arrive at the Dades valley, where you´ll spend the night.
After breakfast, we will have the chance to explore the Dades valley. The area is easily recognizable by its adobe villages, mauve mountains, and uneven surfaces which is a well-renowned area among rock climbers. Furthermore, the place is a fertile one with bountiful oases, the field of wheat, and the orchards of olives. Then, we will move to Todra gorges, where you will see the crystal-clear ravine and the lined palm groves.
After a break, we will have lunch in Touroug or Tinejdad. After lunch, we will reach the spectacular desert of Merzouga. From there, we will set for the camel ride, to the high dune of Erg Chebbi, where you will see the breathtaking sunset while enjoying the panoramic views of the sand of the sea, and the high dunes. In the first place, it is an hour camel trek, after watching the sunset, we will head to the Berber camp in the heart of the desert, where you will enjoy dinner, the sound of drums, and overnight under the starry sky.
This day is dedicated to discovering the desert and the nomadic villages that surround it. First, we advise you to wake up a little bit early, so as, not to miss the sublime sunrise over the dunes, near the camp. You will appreciate the morning breeze, and the beautiful views of the sea’s sand that change in color.
Next, we will drive peacefully our camel through the desert to Merzouga Village. Arriving in Merzouga, for a Berber breakfast and a relaxing shower. Then, we will discover the highest dunes in the Moroccan desert. Known as Eg-Chebbi dunes, they are a great extension of sand dunes of 250 meters high.
From there, we will continue to Khamlia, contemplating the nomadic Berber villages, and suggesting a stop to learn about their customs and traditions. Upon arrival to Khamlia village, which people are originated from Mali and Sudan. In the first place, you will be welcomed by a cup of mint tea, while sitting back enjoying their spiritual music known as Gnawa. Finally, we will drive back to your accommodation to relax and enjoy the afternoon near the desert. Overnight, will be in the accommodation.
Wake up early morning to contemplate the beautiful sunrise over the high dunes, and glimpse the dramatic changing colors of the sand. Next, we will trek back upon our camels to Merzouga village, where you will have a delicious breakfast and a refreshing shower. Then, we will head to Fes passing through the beautiful Middle Atlas Mountains villages.
Passing, first, by Tafilalet, the biggest palm grove in the world, consisting of 20Km lined palm trees. From there, we will continue to Ziz Valley, which offers magnificent panoramic views and a perfect opportunity for photography shots. After that, we will move to Midelt, for some free time to relax and have lunch, on the Berber way. continuing our journey, while enjoying the scenic beauty of the Atlas Mountains.
Our next stop will be in the largest forest in Morocco, the cedar forest, which is the residence of macaque apes. Moving forward to the little Switzerland of Morocco “Ifrane”, which is a unique village with its french building style and the clean streets, green areas, and the alpine climate. Plus, Ifrane has a spectacular ski resort, called Michlifen. Finally, in the late afternoon, we will arrive in Fes, where your driver will drop you off at your riad or hotel this is the end of our 4 Days from Marrakech Sahara Desert
