Day 1: Arrival in Casablanca – Transfer to Rabat.
Your Moroccan journey begins with a warm airport welcome in Casablanca. Visit the majestic Hassan II Mosque, perched beside the Atlantic, before heading to Rabat, the country’s capital. Discover highlights such as the Hassan Tower and the Oudaya Kasbah. Enjoy your first night in a charming riad within Rabat’s medina.
Day 2: Rabat – Asilah – Tangier – Chefchaouen.
After breakfast, travel along the Atlantic coast to the artsy town of Asilah, known for its mural-painted medina. Continue to Tangier to explore landmarks like the Skalla fortress and Hercules Cave. In the afternoon, wind through the Rif Mountains en route to Chefchaouen, the Blue Pearl of Morocco.
Day 3: Chefchaouen – Free Day to Explore.
Spend a relaxing day discovering Chefchaouen at your own pace. Roam its blue-painted alleyways, visit the Ras El Ma waterfall, and hike to the Spanish Mosque for panoramic views. Overnight in a traditional riad surrounded by the tranquility of the Rif Mountains.
Day 4: Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Meknes – Fes.
Depart for Fes, stopping first at the Roman ruins of Volubilis to explore well-preserved mosaics and archways. Continue to Meknes to visit the impressive Bab Mansour and Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail. Arrive in Fes for an overnight stay in a historic riad.
Day 5: Fes – Full-Day City Tour.
Explore Morocco’s cultural capital with a local guide. Wander the labyrinthine alleys of the Fes el-Bali medina, visit the world’s oldest university (Al-Qarawiyyin), traditional tanneries, and artisan souks. End the day with scenic views from the Merenid Tombs.
Day 6: Fes – Ifrane – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Merzouga.
Travel south through the Middle Atlas, passing Ifrane (nicknamed “Little Switzerland”) and cedar forests near Azrou, where wild monkeys may appear. Stop for lunch in Midelt before driving through the lush Ziz Valley. Arrive in Merzouga for a sunset camel ride into the Sahara, followed by dinner and a night under the stars in a luxury desert camp.
Day 7: Merzouga – Desert Culture & Exploration.
Witness the sunrise over the dunes before a day of desert exploration. Visit nomadic families, explore Khamlia village, known for Gnawa music, and stroll through the lively market of Rissani. Return to your desert lodge for a peaceful evening.
Day 8: Merzouga – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley – Ouarzazate.
Leave the desert behind and head toward Ouarzazate via the dramatic Todra Gorges. Enjoy scenic stops in Dades Valley, famed for its ancient kasbahs and winding mountain roads. Reach Ouarzazate, known as the “Hollywood of Africa,” for an overnight stay.
Day 9: Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Taroudant – Agadir.
Explore the UNESCO-listed Ait Ben Haddou kasbah, a film set for classics like Gladiator and Game of Thrones. Pass through Taliouine, famous for saffron, and visit Taroudant—often dubbed “Little Marrakech.” Continue to Agadir for an overnight coastal retreat.
Day 10: Agadir – Essaouira.
Enjoy a scenic coastal drive north to Essaouira, known for its breezy medina, fishing port, and relaxed atmosphere. En route, see goats climbing argan trees. Explore Essaouira’s ramparts, souks, and sandy beach before staying overnight in a medina riad.
Day 11: Essaouira – Marrakech.
Depart for Marrakech, stopping at an argan oil cooperative run by local women. Once in Marrakech, settle into your riad and begin exploring the vibrant Jemaa el-Fna square with its street performers, food stalls, and energy that lasts into the night.
Day 12: Marrakech – City Tour with Local Guide.
